Green Lock FC and Hypebuzz (HB) cancelled each other out in a thrilling 2-2 draw at the Bwari township stadium on Monday afternoon in an organized scouting program in Abuja.

Michael Junior opened scoring for Green Lock FC in the early exchanges, after he latched on a poor clearance which was erroneously handled by HB’s goalkeeper and nicely slotted in the ball into an open net from a close range.

Gambian/Nigerian Ebrima Manneh drew level for the home side just seven minutes later into the game with a powerful shot, taking advantage of a communication break down between Green Lock FC two central defenders to make it 1-1 in the 29th minute.

And just before the stroke of half time, Ahmed Abdullahi doubled the lead with a low drive from the edge of the box to leave the game 2-1 in favor of HB at break time.

On resumption, Green Lock FC returned with a renewed vigor as head coach, Coach Eedris Bolarinwa made some tactical changes to tilt the game in favor of his side with a larger share of a dominant possession in the second half period of the game.

HB’s long period of resistance in the second half avoiding to concede and to maintain their 2-1 lead was finally broken towards the tail end of the match, as Green Lock’s Onazi found a loophole in yard 18 and directed a square pass to Eneche Enoch who finished it off with a left strike to restore parity for his side.

It was almost as though both sides had an antidote for themselves, as the game proved to be a good test for the two teams which ended 2-2 at regulation time at the Bwari township stadium on Monday afternoon in Abuja.
