Top European and American scouts have arrived Nigeria, ahead of Green Lock FC’s
first ever premier soccer showcase scouting event billed to take place from January 5-9th, at the Bwari township stadium, Abuja.

The scouts touched down at exactly 5:40am at the Nnamdi Azikwe international airport.

Speaking shortly after their arrival, US based agent and scout, Alicia Nicole said she anticipates to see eminent and talented pool of players.She believes the event will be a great success, and hopes to offer developmental contributions, where some of the players discovered will be able to move their career in a positive direction.

“I have always seen great talents in Nigeria, so am anticipating to see great talents this time also”

“I am looking for young talents that we can offer some development and present to some of our clubs abroad and some of the school academies where the ones that wants to go that route will be able to embrace. So we are just looking forward to a successful event where we can move their careers to a positive direction”

Also speaking, Ismail Okunola, who shuttles between UK and the Netherlands as a professional scout and agent said he expects a lot of things but not overly too much from the boys. He noted that the event will create a pathway for the players to ruffle feathers with other big players anywhere in the world.

“We have been coming here for a couple of years now to come and scout talents, and to give our youths the platform to showcase their talents and help to guide them on the right part, creating the pathway for them so that they can compete with the bigger boys and for them to be well equipped with the knowledge that they need, that is why we are here”

Three scouts from the UK/Netherlands and the USA arrived Abuja on Thursday morning, while four others are expected in the country this weekend.

The Green Lock FC first premier soccer showcase scouting program will start on the 5th to end on the 9th at the Bwari township stadium, Abuja.
