Players of Green Lock FC were again at their element on Wednesday morning at the Bwari township stadium, as they brushed aside the All-Stars Selected 2-1 to emerge the overall winners of the first ever premier soccer showcase scouting program organized by the management of the club in Abuja.

Damilola Adeyeye gave his side, Green Lock FC the curtain raiser from close range, after he profited from a poor clearance by opposition’s defender in the early minutes of the game. The team dominated and enjoyed the largest share of possession throughout the first half of the game but failed to convert most of their chances before the halftime break.

All-Stars were more resurgent on resumption and made several attempts at goal mouth but were repelled on most occasions by Green Lock FC’s centre pair of Bright Umeh and Shallom Abah.

And after several incursions on opposition’s half, All-Stars Mohammed Danjuma flicked on a header from a connecting cross that beats Sulaiman Moses to the bottom left corner to draw level for his side.

Haven survived All-Stars attrition, Green Lock FC prevailed with another goal, as Usman Mustapha wrapped it up for his side with a last gasp winner, beating All-Stars goalkeeper with a powerful shot from the edge of the box to end the Showcase in a spectacular fashion at full time.

Green Lock FC won four games and had one draw in five matches to emerge champions of the first ever scouting program organized by the club at the Bwari township stadium, Abuja.
