Green Lock FC Head Coach Adebowale Bolarinwa Idris expressed immense pride in his squad following a convincing 2-1 victory over Mallam Football Academy in their opening group stage match of the Evolution Cup.

Praise Adebisi and captain Damilola Adeyeye, who earned the Man of the Match award, scored the goals for Green Lock FC, before Mallam FA scored a consolation goal, making for a tense finish.

Green Lock FC has been drawn into a challenging Group B. Following their win against Mallam Football Academy, they face a quick turnaround against LA Planet on Tuesday, followed by Fa8ballers Africa FC later in the week, and concluding the group stage against King O Football Club on Friday.“The schedule is demanding, but it’s a true test of character,” Coach Idris commented.

“We’ve trained rigorously for endurance and adaptability. Each match is an opportunity to showcase our philosophy: talent, when properly nurtured, knows no bounds.”

Coach Idris was effusive in his praise for Green Lock FC’s management, acknowledging their “visionary support” in creating a nurturing environment for young players.

He also commended his dedicated technical team, including Assistant Coach Seun Omoyemi and Goalkeeper Trainer Archibong Effiong, for their tireless efforts in preparing the squad.

“Coach Seun’s tactical drills and Coach Archibong’s work with our goalkeepers have been absolutely crucial. This victory isn’t just my achievement—it’s a collective triumph,” Idris emphasized.
