Chairman of Green Lock FC Mr Olubunmi Oladeinde Peters says he is elated and impressed with the coordination of the club’s first ever premier soccer showcase scouting event, and has vouched to give 110% of his support to ensure that the project continues to thrive in Nigeria.
Mr Oladeinde said this in Bwari, the venue of the inaugural edition of the Green Lock FC scouting program on Friday morning in Abuja.
He said the virtue of right start to any major event will always create an opportunity to birth legacies that will stand the test of time. He assured that scouts will continue to come and identify with the project for the advancement and for the growth of football in Nigeria.
“We are here to support you 110%, we will continue to bring scouts to identify with Green Lock FC’s project in any way possible to help discover good and talented players”

amazing. This is the beginning of an organized show that is expected to multiply, I can see an every 6 months project going on now, one of the principles am taking away from this is that Showcase like this will not end because humans will continue to evolve”
“My impression is that it looks wonderful, organizing something and make it so effective is a quality that will encourage the world not just us, I could see not just the passion, I could see the number of scouts, the spectators with different football clubs that are here”
Mr Oladeinde also offered words of encouragement to the players of Green Lock FC, as well as the management team, tasking the players to always develop the right attitude for a successful and a flourishing career ahead.
“You must develop the right attitude always, there is no free lunch for anyone who is not ready to work hard, beyond your football skills, develop a leadership skill as well because that is what will take you far in life.” he concluded.
Day 1 of the scouting program witnessed three wins and one draw, more games will continue on Saturday, January 6th, 2024 at the Bwari township stadium, Abuja.
